Gettin down with the deals!

OK, it is one of my favorite time of the year. I live in Arizona, and we finally get a break from the 100 degree days. You've got the holidays which are filled with yummy treats, family and friends, and lots of shopping.

Yes, shopping! I love shopping during the holidays because you can find so many deals you just have to know where to look and when to shop.

Here are a few quick tips to holiday shopping.

1. Never shop without a coupon or coupon code. Most stores are going to offer some kind of deal. Do your homework and you can save major bucks! One of my favorite places to shop during the holiday is Kohl's. Not only do they have sales going on in the store, they offer coupons on top of the sale price, in addition you can often get Kohl's Cash - in store cash back to be used at a later time. If you plan properly, you can use your coupon, get some items, then get Kohl's cash, and go back to get the rest of your items for free!

Another good store to look for deals during the holidays is Macy's. They also offer specials on the discounted items. I used to think that Macy's was over priced. And it can be if you, but pay attention to what deals they have going on when and shop to the sale not to your list. If you plan ahead, you can plan ahead and save more. Which brings me to number 2...

2. Plan your list ahead and try to have multiple options. Don't go into a store with just one thing in mind for someone. If you have a few things in mind, you are able to shop different stores with different deals and get what you want based upon what they have on sale.

3. On-line shopping can be your friend! Not only do you not have to deal with parking at the mall if you shop online, you can also often finds deals where you get free shipping. Hey! You didn't even use gas!

Search on-line before you check out in a Google search to see if there are any coupon codes you can snatch up. Simply type "store name coupon codes". Often times something will come up.

4. Don't spend $4 on a roll of wrapping paper. We all love a perfectly wrapped gift but don't over spend on paper because they have it conveniently for you in the check out line. They often over price this because it's an impulse buy at the check out. Try going to Walgreen's or even the dollar store for great prices on paper that will make your gifts dazzle!

Alright, that's just a few tips.. hope this help.

Happy Saving!
